IGFL1 belongs to the insulin-like growth factor (IGF; see MIM 147440) family of signaling molecules that play critical roles in cellular energy metabolism and in growth and development, especially prenatal growth (Emtage et al., 2006 [PubMed 16890402]). Function: Probable ligand of the IGFLR1 cell membrane receptor. Subunit: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Subcellular Location: Secreted. Tissue Specificity: Detected in ovary and spinal cord. 25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with IGFL1 polyclonal antibody, unconjugated (bs-15570R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
